Liao Fan’s Four Lessons in Nepali (Part I)
On April 16th 2022, the above Nepali voiceover of Liao Fan’s Four Lessons (classic adaptation) was premiered on Bodhi TV Nepal (a popular and exclusively Buddhist channel in Nepal). This historic development marks the first time in history that the famous Ming dynasty classic on how to karmically change one’s destiny in this very life was made available in the Nepali language, and also the first time it has been disseminated to the wider Nepali speaking public.
Moreover, the creators ( The Byoma Kusuma Buddha Dharma Sangha) not only translated the original Classical Mandarin text of Liao Fan’s Four Lessons into Nepali, but also spared no expense to hire excellent voice actors, and myriad technicians to significantly remaster the original footage , thus giving this voiceover both impeccable voice acting and amazing upgraded visuals.
In the famous compiled commentary of the Kan Ying Pien (efficacious Taoist karmic text endorsed by the 13th Patriarch of the Pure Land School, Master Yin Guang — who also promoted Liao Fan’s Four Lessons massively in order to turn back the tide of bad karma), it is said that those who introduce a book of virtue (such as Liao Fan’s Four Lessons or the Kan Ying Pien) to one person gains ten merits. To ten persons, one hundred merits. To an influential person or leader, one thousand merits. And if they publish it and propagate it beyond cultural spheres, then the merits accrued will number in the tens of thousands.
Thus, the creators of this history making voiceover, and all who share it, will certainly partake in tens of thousands of merits. Given that Yuan Liao Fan himself managed to greatly change his life after completing the first 300 meritorious deeds (of his initial 3000 merit vow), how much greater the reward for those who share this voiceover?
